Loud Song Group: They are from Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of China. Four members are ethnic Zhuang Chinese singers. They are Yuhong Huang (黄玉红), Yuhuan Xu (许宇环), Fengkui Wei (韦凤葵), and Fengfei Fang (方凤飞).
They are singing a typical ethnic Zhuang folk song – Loud Song (Chinese: 嘹歌, literally loud and clear song, or resonant song). This kind of song is simple and short. The tune is very melodious. The Zhuang people often sing this song in their daily life. Thus, Loud Song is also called “Mother Song” by the Zhuang people.
This group is one of my favorite groups. It is the best aborginal singers group from Guangxi. They entered the final stage contest of the 12th National Youth Singing Contest. There were four rounds in the final stage. The Loud Song Group was competed out in the second round. But remember all finalists of the National Singing Contest were chosen from thousands of singers. They have already represented the best singers in China. Many of them are very famous in China and were invited to perform their songs in other countries such as Australia, the U.S., Japan, Germany, the U.K. and France.
I would say the competition of the National Singing Contest was very tough and intensified. Some of my favorite singers such as Ayouduo, Xian-er Long and Chejiang Dong Song Group were also competed out in the 2nd round.

This emblem was designed by a Zhuang designer. People call Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region as “Home of Bronze Drum”. Bronze Drum is a cultural heritage of ethnic Zhuang. The Bronze Drum was used as religious instrument or musical instrument before. Later it became a symbol of power. Bronze Drums are often engraved by symbols of sun, flying man, aigrette, water wave, circle, and elephant eyes. Statues of frogs or ducks are used for decoration. Frog is worshipped by ethnic Zhuang as “Son of Thor”. The Zhuang people believe that frog is able to summon rain and wind. Zhuang people celebrate a “frog festival” every year. Frogs with different poses on the drum face in this emblem represent ethnic Zhuang’s totemism.
